Welcome to New Peeps Week, where each day I’ll introduce you to a new retail business opening in Newport. If you missed Saturday’s post (below) on Jack Wills, check it out. Today, it’s a warm welcome extended to Francesca’s 
Collections, a women’s clothing, jewelry, accessories, and gift boutique which is opening in Newport’s Long Wharf Mall. Francesca’s currently has shops in nearly 40 states and rapidly expanding, which made Newport a natural target market. Most of all the brand is known for being affordable, with dresses ranging from $34-$54, tops starting at $28, skirts starting at $34 and a ton of great sales.
What is the Francesca’s look? “I think Francesca’s is a bit of chameleon,” Trang Nguyen told me from Francesca’s headquarters. “Our style is eclectic, worldly, feminine, comfortable, a bit sexy, & a bit pretty. The main draw is that we’re affordable.”
Francesca’s Collections will open in Long Wharf Mall, across from the Gap, this month.
