Hello, Sailors! America’s Cup World Series Inspired

It’s been nearly 30 years since America’s Cup 12 meters raced Newport’s waters, and it’s return this week, punctuated by sleek, 45-foot catamarans, has brought a palpable energy to the City-by-the-Sea. As the official kick-off unfolds today at Fort Adams (click here for concert details), the final stop in the AC World Series will be in full gear. With a Moët & Chandon
champagne bar, Napa Valley Vintners wine lounge, Matunuck Oyster Bar’s heaven on a half shell, culinary gems from Julian’s, and Tallulah on Thames’ famed taco cart, the ACWS is a time to eat, drink and be merry!
Though it reigns supreme in Newport perhaps now more than ever, nautically-inspired fashion is a global trend, and with the ACWS and Tall Ships around the corner, it seems there’s no better time to “drop anchor” on this timely trend. Check out these looks from J. Crew (many available at Newport’s J. Crew on the Harbor).
