How sweet is this seersucker headband? It’s the handiwork of Royal Anchor, a new Rhode Island-based accessories company founded by two fashion forward moms, Jessica Fontes and Andrea Carlotto. Their debut line of nautically- inspired accessories for girls (they have five between them, so they know a thing or two about ribbons and bows…) merge fashion and function. Each bow barrette has a fun, nautical name. With preppy color combos and affordable prices points (bow barrettes around $7, headbands around $12), I have to hope Royal Anchor debuts a similar line for grown ups!

Royal Anchor is available locally at The Groovy Gator, Mini Wish, Luca Boutique in Warren, Teddy Bearskins in Barrington and via their web site and a growing list of area retailers.
