For just one month, the Potter League for Animals, Newport County’s private, non-profit organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of animals, will take over an available retail space at 13 Touro Street on Newport’s Washington Square (next to Banana Republic) to offer amazing sample jewelry at a fraction of the regular cost. Detailed enamel bracelets, contemporary necklaces, kitschy pins and playful earrings, all by Sequin, are regularly sold at major retailers including Neiman Marcus, Henri Bendel, Bloomingdales and Nordstrom. Here in the City-by-the-Sea, the coveted pieces are being sold at 50-80% off retail prices. Seen on InStyle.com and considered one of the hottest affordable accessory brands, Sequin’s designs range from bold and colorful to chic and sleek. T
he sale, affectionately dubbed “Critter Glitter,” will donate 100% of proceeds to the Capital Campaign for the Potter League’s new animal care and education center. The temporary shop will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through mid-August.
