What: An open, airy surf shop with a great selection of boards and accessories, a small but distinctive collection of apparel, an array of duffles, totes and oversized travel bags from Newport’s own Re-Sails and a cozy coffee bar for java addicts.

Thankfully, the only thing Hurricane Bill left behind when he brushed by the New England coast this weekend was slightly cooler temps and an amazing show of jaw-dropping waves, which inspire today’s shop shot. This 
boardroom is just about the only one you want to be summoned to. Gleaming wood floors, colorful displays, and funky finds make The Boardroom a great place to just relax, explore and soak up coastal living. A collection of vibrant beach cruisers are more like mobile artwork than they are bicycles while plenty of gear and apparel from Hooley keep surfers and landlubbers alike in fashion. There’s a relatively small but well chosen offering of ladieswear which currently includes sales on bathing suits, hats and comfortable dresses; expect more fall pieces to make an appearance soon. Plenty of great pieces for men, too. Surf’s up!
