Seventeen-year-old Portsmouth High School senior, Lauren Mailloux, will be turning the school’s gymnasium into Bryant Park next Tuesday, April 6th at 7 p.m. Featuring spring frocks from several chic shops and boutiques across Aquidneck Island including Karma, Pink Pineapple,Water Brothers, Stalise, Viking Tuxedo, and Just for You, Lauren is also tapping talent closer to home. Designs by classmates and independent designers, including RISD-bound student Hannah Reed and Portsmouth junior Audrey Rinkel, will sashay down the runway.
More than just Lauren’s senior project, the show will be an integral part of raising funds for the senior prom. Thinking big, she secured major sponsorships from Glaceau (Vitamin Water) and Sephora, and promises a visual adventure with spring-inspired décor, a diverse casting of models and an eclectic soundtrack.
General admission is $10.00, $5.00 for students. Tickets available the night of the show (subject to availability).
