The sun is bright, the breeze is warm and you’re itching to enjoy the elements. If you haven’t been yet, the fresh re-design at The Chanler’s bar area, outside the lauded Spiced Pear Restaurant, offers comfy seating areas for 1-2 up to small parties. But before you think an evening here will break the bank, check out the new bar menu, which features $9 appetizers, including savory gourmet grilled pizzas, a fabulous risotto and more. Looking for something a little more hearty? Enjoy a three-course dinner for $23 between 5pm-6pm. Even better, Friday night means Fireside Jazz, featuring Dick Lupino and his band, and sip $0.25 martinis (limit two per person) with an order from the lunch or all-day menu — your choice of a classic, dirty, apple, cosmo or the Spiced Pear martini (which I can personally vouch for). The terrace will be open for the season soon, so stay tuned!
