Mother Nature gave Newport a reality check this week: it’s November, it’s cold, and it likely will be for quite some time. Doesn’t it seem like it was just yesterday the weekend’s biggest decision was whether to hit Gooseberry, Second or Third beaches?? I was working with a photographer yesterday who was gushing about how much they love this time of year, and while the treetops are stunning (have you driven down Rt. 77 in Tiverton to Little Compton or Rt. 138 through Jamestown? It’s actually worth going the speed limit), I’m pining for summer. The feeling explains why I’m featuring these charming vintage-inspired bathing beauties. Ok, technically they’re figurines, and I generally cannot encourage figurine collecting (one word: Hoarders), but one of these perched the bookshelf, near your workplace or in a strategic corner and it’ll remind you of those dog days of summer. You can some (different styles, etc.) them at Beach House in Middletown.

Doesn’t it just cheer you up???
