Retail Redux ‘Round the Wharves

I’m fielding emails left and right about who is going where, who has closed, and who has opened. There’s a lot on the way, but in the interim, here’s the answers to some of the more pressing questions at hand.

Chace N’ Lulu did not close, I’m happy to report. It moved from it’s cozy, former location at 57 America’s Cup Avenue to it’s new digs just a stone’s throw away at 17 Bowen’s Wharf, which was once home to the Newport Candle Company. The shop is stocked with great summer pieces from Kara Janx, Susana Monaco, Brandy Melville (nautical striped dress pictured left), Kate Spade, Kontatto, Citizens of Humanity, Skirtin’ Around, Minnie Rose and more.

Bellevue Beauty Walk, which was indeed, once closer Bellevue on William Street, has jumped wharves. Goodbye old location on Bowen’s and hello new, pristine boutique at nearby 1 Bannisters Wharf. The shop has even more great pieces, including a jaw-dropping amount of JoJos (check out their new bangles below, right); in addition to essie nail polish (loving their new shade, ‘topless & barefoot’–so cute); Gretchen Scott cover-ups; an impressive display of GloMinerals makeup; fragrance, bath and body goods from Bliss, Fresh, Kai and Pacifica (love Pacifica) and amazing, affordable jewelry. So who’s taken Bellevue Beauty Walk’s spot? A familiar name: Primavera. The home decor, jewelry and gift boutique knocked down some walls and expanded to create a spacious, warm and welcoming space. Find fun custom signs, Tea Forté’s gourmet whole leaf teas, unique cards, an in-store John Medeiros jewelry ‘boutique,’ Musewear Pottery and so much more.
