New Peeps Week continues…today, meet Gaastra, a sailing-inspired international sportswear outfitter for women, men and children, that has opened its doors on Bannister’s Wharf (next to Royal 
Warrant in the space formerly occupied by Murphy and Nye). Stocking it’s specifically designed Newport Collection, you’ll find a colorful collection of jackets, fleeces and sweatshirts, sweaters, pants, shorts and skirts, polos, blouses, dresses and accessories including scarves, hats and fabulous bags.
The shop boasts a decidedly nautical feel courtesy of life rings, sleek lines, and sails serving as décor. The Newport location joins its international counterparts in Amsterdam, Hamburg, Antwerpen and others around the globe.
Gaastra is located at 16 Bannister’s Wharf in Newport.
