Newport Regatta Style: One if by Land

Continuing in the spirit of the J Class Regatta unfolding in Newport this week, I had

Blake Mycoskie

to feature these TOMS Shoes wedges from Island Pursuit. With their palpable nautical influence and simple styling, they are signature summer in Newport kicks. In case you haven’t caught the back-story about TOMS on Oprah, Nightline or network news, TOMS was founded on a simple premise: for every pair you purchase, the company will give a pair of shoes to a child in need.

Blake Mycoskie, the founder and “chief shoe giver” of TOMS Shoes, has the unique distinction of gifting those with the shoes generated from proceeds around the globea pretty fabulous gig if you can get it!

Island Pursuit, located at 364 Thames Street in Newport (401-851-8901), has a variety of colors of the TOMS signature nautical stripe wedges for about $70. The shop also has locations in Sarasota and Sanibel in Florida, and closer to home in Chatham on Cape Cod. Grab a fab pair while benefit those who need it the most today! ‎
