It’s one of Newport’s most anticipated holiday weekends: July 4th. You’ll find no shortage of locals and visitors alike dressed in head-to-toe red, white and blue, including the ubiquitous Old Navy family flag t-shirts. For those looking for a more subtle approach or festive fourth footwear, I spotted these Sperry Top-Sider Del Ray
wedge sandals with a nautical touch on the tropical basket-weave wedge. For a higher heel, the Sperry Top-Sider Southport Slingback Wedge with rope laces adding a whimsical touch to the canvas upper with a peep toe and chunky cork wedge. Both were at Sole Desire on Thames Street.
There are also great sales at Michael Hayes (where I spotted a Tory Burch tunic marked down), Potter & Co., Banana Republic, and the newly opened Breakwater Surf Co. on the corner of Thames and Franklin Streets. Also, warm congratulations to Karen King of Style Newport, celebrating her first year in business today. Cheers!
How cute are those!!! leave it to you, oh Stylephile, to find the best stuff in Newport!
Thanks TheDailyBasics! I heart summer shoes! Hope to see you soon!
