In 2007, interior designer and author Leslie Banker launched a daily design and lifestyle blog sharing her project and ideas with the world as she documented the decoration of her new house in Jamestown. “Empire Delicious,” was christened, a name that came to Leslie years and years ago. “I liked the
sound of it, the idea of adding delicious details, delicious fun to your house and life,” she told me.
Recently, she’s taken her creativity to a new level, launching a product line of the same name. Leslie turned to local talent, including Dan Wood of DWRI Letterpress in Providence for all the letterpress offerings and Newport–based Lakuna Design in Newport for graphic design, logos and more. “The prints are by Rhode Island artist Jane McNally Wright and exclusively sold through Empire Delicious,” says Leslie. “The Dinobite bottle opener was made by Rhode Island artist Peter Diepenbrock.” She produced and designed (working with Lakuna and DWRI Letterpress) the cocktail kit, ribbon box, invites, coasters, gift tags.
If you didn’t have a reason to celebrate already, this line makes for a good excuse to do it in style…
