Cuff ‘Em: Equestrian Inspired Style

When I finally stopped by Skid Row on Christie’s Landing recently, just a stone’s throw from Forty 1° North, I couldn’t believe what great things come in this small package of a shop. There’s a little bit of everything: soft cotton tops, colorful denim, imported Italian shoes and boots, bags and accessories, including pieces Twenty8Twelve by Sienna Miller, Winter Kate by Nicole Richie, UGG (suede handbags), and Seaton. Through it all, I made a mad dash when I spotted the above equestrian–inspired Rebecca Ray Snaffle Bit Bracelet.

Crafted by hand, the design features harness-grade and an eye-catching polished brass snaffle bit for $70. Skid Row owner Lisa Skiffington, an accomplished equestrian who travels to select horse shows like last month’s Hampton Classic, told me she sold out of this great cuff but has restocked and it’s on my wish list, especially with all the equestrian–inspired pieces popping up this season (pony not required).

As she’s on the road quite a bit and not sure if Skid Row will stay open through the fall or head off to warmer breezes until they are the constant and not an anomaly (like this week), give the shop a ring at (561) 670-7186. (Shop will be open today and tomorrow at 12pm; its the last shop on the left at Christie’s Landing). Giddy up!
