Looking to eat, drink and be merry while out on the town this New Year’s Eve, and a place to wear the fabulous bling seen in the above post? Live bands, DJs, dining deals and more await when you ring in 2012 in Newport. Here are just a few fine options (check back for more!)
Billy Goodes Tavern: Live band The Ravers play, $10 cover.
The Fifth Element: The bar will be open from 7pm-1am, dinner is served 7-10pm, DJ Maddog spinning, and a champagne toast at midnight (and plenty of party favors!), all for $100 (includes gratuity).
Forty 1 North: The Winter White Bash includes DJs from NYC, complimentary valet parking, an array of desserts 
and coffee, giveaways, a balloon drop at midnight and Veuve Cliquot toast to the New Year. Tickets are $55 (special NYE overnight package being offered as well—details here).
Gas Lamp Grille: Starts the evening with a dinner special, later welcomes Those Guys (downstairs) and “Video DJ Mike” (upstairs) to rock in 2012. They’ve sold out for both dinner and Those Guys the past three years so don’t wait until the last minute if this tops your list… Pre-sell tickets purchased by Dec 30 are $20 (tickets are $15 if you’re also purchasing the $37/pp three-course dinner). Day-of entertainment only tickets (Dec. 31) are $25.
Jimmy’s Saloon: Live music with Newport’s own We Own Land, Area 51 and Derailed for only a $5 cover. 
Newport Blues Café: Live music by Mr. Chubb and champagne toast at midnight. Tickets available online for $25. The Blues is also offering a dinner package that includes Mr. Chubb tickets for $75.
Rhino Bar: Live music by Run for Covers, DJ Timmy D in the Mamba Room. Entertainment only package: $20/pp (includes access to both clubs all night). For more details on dining package and VIP package, click here.
Sambar: Passed hors d’oeuvres all night, toast at midnight, DJ Butch spinning, tickets $75.
Studio 3: DJ Nook is in the house all night long! There are not advance tickets but instead, a reservation guest list. To reserve a spot, call (401) 847-9460 and leave a message.
