Have you ever experienced the regret of one that got away? Not a relationship—I’m talking about a great pair of jeans, of course. I had my hands on a pair of bold red skinnies last fall and in a momentary lapse of reason, cashed out without ‘em. And they were on sale. Adding salt to the wound, I ran into a good friend on a Saturday night in December wearing the same jeans. And she looked amazing. Sigh.
The good news is that the color palette has widened for spring to include bold hues and whispering pastels, and some of the best lines are filtering out all about town. Laura Jean Denim Shop is stocking AG Adriano Goldschmied Stilt skinny ankle jeans in cerulean, neon lemon lime, deep purple (arriving this week) and more, all in soft brushed stretch-denim ($159).
At Chace N’ Lulu, a rainbow of mid-rise J Brands are turning heads toward the Bowen’s Wharf boutique in hot pink, blood orange, moccasin (taupe), black cherry, navy and black boasting a super-tight fit ($166).
Over at Gap, the retailer’s classic 1969 cropped skinny jeans are arriving in fuchsia, “surf pipe” blue, lilac, rose and oatmeal $69.95). Broken-in straight khakis for her can also be found in active blue and hot coral ($49.95). Gap for him includes slim fit 1969 denim-washed garment dye khakis in red rose, vintage wine, cobalt blue, deep cedar green and more ($59.95).
Love the colors!!!!
Thanks so much! PS: I’m overdue for a Erica Zap visit! Can’t wait to come by!
