Of course, at some point, you have to furnish where you live by the sea, which is why Newport’s newest Bellevue Avenue boutique, Sea Star Collection, is sure to make a splash when it officially opens this Thursday. Already a successful online venture, Sea Star Collection’s brick and mortar flagship at location at 148 Bellevue Avenue will also celebrate the spoils of seaside living.
Coastal-inspired home furnishings, jewelry and quality Giclee reproductions of the founder’s original artwork, as well as 
other artists, will grace the shop, which has been shrouded in mystery as owner Pam Akgun makes sure everything is just right before Thursday’s big reveal. “I am delighted to join the Bellevue Avenue shops and Bellevue Avenue Business Association with my new coastal themed boutique,” she says. “As a Rhode Island native, opening a shop here in Newport is a dream come true! Please come in to say hello and come back often.”
