This time of year, some people head out for pumpkin picking, other people head out for pumpkin cocktail picking (me: the latter). I just tried the new house-made Pumpkin-infused vodka martini at Christie’s and it’s delicious (see above)! It’s not too sweet, with the pumpkin flavor is savory but subtle and the overall flavor balanced out by a dash of nutmeg. The presentation is lovely with a cinnamon stick topping it off.
A few more on the must-try list: the frozen Pumpkin Mudslide at Brick Alley Pub, which owner Matt Plumb tells me is fabulous, and for beer lovers, Brick’s Pumpkin Sugar Daddy, which is a pink of Shipyard Pumpkin Head Ale with a cinnamon sugar rim in a frosted glass served with a shot of Stoli Salted Karamel on the side. For a bit more elegant environs, sample the the fall-inspired apple cocktails at Muse at Vanderbilt Grace. Have you tried any local seasonal favorites? If so, leave a comment of share on our Facebook page!
