Come one, come all, to this annual fun night out! Also tonight, The Apothecary on Memorial Boulevard hosts a holiday event with cocktails and hos d’oeuvres, a trunk show featuring jewelry by Katie Whittemore, a Stila make-up artist, raffles and more, from 4-8pm.
Whether it’s the thrill of receiving an iconic, robin-blue box on Christmas morning (or anytime!) or channeling your inner Holly Golightly at the flagship store on Fifth Avenue, there’s something magical about Tiffany & Co. I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with T & Co. on occasion, perhaps because the company and Newport have a long history together (read more about who wore the Tiffany Diamond–hello, 288 carats!–to the 1957 Tiffany Ball here in Newport and the Tiffany trophies in town by clicking here). This fall, Tiffany unveiled their newest new handbag and accessories collection, a line first introduced in 2010 meant to merge style and innovation.
Boasting deep, burnished colors and varied silhouettes and fabrications, each piece is finished with the hallmarks of Tiffany’s heritage including custom-designed hardware, Tiffany Blue leather interiors, Tiffany Blue enamel and subtle logos. Think clutches, satchels, top handles and totes! The Sabrina evening clutch (top photo), for example, is available in a variety of interpretations and comes in brilliant shades including Tiffany Blue®, bronze, graphite, indigo and antique silver. Then there’s the Tiffany Leather Reversible Tote which makes for a perfect travel accessory (just think: it can match twice the amount of outfits!) and from what I hear, lies perfectly flat when packed in a suitcase.
The collection’s accessories—wallets, wrist pochettes and card cases—function alone or tuck inside a handbag. Cleverly designed with a place for everything, the pieces shine in metallic gold, silver, leopard–even chevron.
The Tiffany Leather Collection ranges from $50 to $17,500 and is available at select Tiffany locations. See more below and at tiffany.com.

When Philosophy arrived on the beauty scene in 1996, people took notice. But when Oprah named the line’s Hope in a Jar moisturizer one of her favorite things, the world took notice (she said, “Every time I massage in a dab of this moisturizer, I feel like I’m giving my face a drink of water. It exfoliates, it hydrates, it keeps hope alive.”). A beauty star was born, and people instantly fell for the quality line packaged in bottles with uplifting messages, making them a perfect pick-me-up or present. Philosophy includes skin care, hair care, fragrance and bath products.
In the peak of this past summer season, Victoria’s Secret Angels Lindsay Ellingson, Erin Heatherton, Doutzen Kroes, Behati Prinsloo and Candice Swanepoel descended on the City-by-the-Sea to shoot the company’s Holiday 2012 campaign. Famed director Michael Bay took command at the world-famous Newport Mansions, using the Gilded Age opulence as the setting for the sexy shoot. If you haven’t spotted one of the commercials yet, just wait–they’ll be in heavy rotation over the next few weeks.

Almost a year ago to the day, I introduced Sweet Maddie’s jewelry and accessories to Newport Stylephile readers (click here to read). The collection of nautical chart pendants, earring and cufflinks, key rings, and wine charms had been warmly received since they debuted. More recently, Newport-based designer and photographer Madeline Polss has expanded the collection to include charms featuring beloved locales like Narragansett, Block Island, Gooseberry Beach, Second Beach, Newport, Nantucket, Cape Cod and as a nod to her warmer water sailing adventures (Madeline is on her sailboat in the Caribbean at moment), St. Thomas, St. Martin, Tortola, St. Barts and more. Each is made from an upcycled nautical chart and a small round glass droplet measuring about 3/4″ across, the charms, just $15, have a split jump ring that makes adding it to your favorite bracelet simple.
You can find Sweet Maddie’s in stores up and down the East Coast and on Etsy by clicking here.
