I popped into Deborah Winthrop Fine Lingerie on Thames Street last week where I was immediately intrigued by a line I never heard of before: Tees by Tina. It’s a misleading (and albeit somewhat cheesy) name, because the pieces really aren’t t-shirts, not at all. They’re fitted ¾ length tops, flattering tanks, and amazingly comfortable fitted dresses with
streamlined silhouettes. All sizes are “one size fits most” (a term which always make me giggle a bit) and are a celeb favorite as seen on Stacy Keibler, Malin Ackerman and Julie Benz. It’s also a favorite of expectant mommies due to its stretchy fabric and pieces have been featured in Vogue (paired with an elegant, floor length skirt) and Glamour magazines.
Deb Winthrop had in these nautical striped ¾ length tops as worn by Bethenny Frankel, Maria Menudos and Kourtney Kardashian as well as this blue bandage dress as seen on Jennie Garth in US Weekly at left (priced at $89). Dresses can be worn on their own or if you’d rather not be bare legged, especially as it’s still a bit cool out, they can be paired with leggings or skinny jeans (length is easily adjusted).
The Portsmouth location at Clock Tower Square also carries tanks, dresses and tops from Tees by Tina.
