As soon as you walk into Shore Soap Co. on lower Thames Street, you get an immediate sense of clean, simple and natural elements all around. The cozy shop is crisply decorated, all with detailed woodwork crafted by hand by owners (and to-be-wed) Jake Kopper and Stephanie Wilcox (see the before and afters here), two lovely folks who greet everyone with a smile. All of their soaps, sugar scrubs, lotions, body butters and more 
are handmade onsite without chemicals.
Shore Soap Co. specializes in making sea salt soaps “that extract toxins from your body, while leaving your skin with a polished, moisturized feel.” While it’s always important to pamper yourself, the whole line makes for great gifts because of their natural ingredients AND the charming packaging. The contemporary typeface with a cute whale wrapper complements the super-cute soap names: Catching Waves, Captain’s Cocktail, Cottage Clothesline, Dune Grass, Endless Summer, Mermaid Kisses, Salty Mariner, Surfer’s Sunrise…these are just a few.
