While at the Newport Folk Festival this past weekend (another one to go down in music history), I met the Street Style photographer for Teen Vogue magazine. She and I agreed there were some amazing expressions of individual style here in Newport. Denim jumpers, over-sized hats, bell bottoms, caftans, rompers and lace up leather shoes were some of the signature pieces. Here are some looks I snapped capturing a moment:
Love this post – and most especially the guy in the denim vest and rolled up shorts. There is nothing like individual expression and a folk festival is THE time to express! (By the way, my husband Barry attended his first Newport Folk Festival in 1964 and saw Bob Dylan in ’64 and ’65 – the year he went electric.) Gotta love it.
That’s so awesome Barry was there for a moment in music history! Wow!
These pictures have made me a believer that I need to buy some more boots 🙂 Looks like it was an amazing time – and perfect weather!
We will never have enough boots! xoxox
Loving the first look.
That might be my favorite too:)
WOW! What a fun festival!
Totally fun– you have to come next year!
Loving the first 3 looks!
Me too–I’m inspired to get my “whimsy” on!
