Pound the Pavement and Make Room for RUN NEWPORT

Confession: I bought running sneakers at Marshall’s last month. For someone who tries to log some running miles each week (or moderately jogging, depending on how you look at it), this is a cardinal sin. I even have friends in the athletic footwear industry, which makes the sin even more grave. The thing was, my old kicks were in bad shape and I didn’t have the time or patience to page through online sites and user reviews to find the best pair for my running style, my preferences and my budget. The pair I picked up will soon transition to regular ol’ sneakers because thankfully, Newport has it’s first store officially  dedicated to performance wear and sneakers.

Run Newport opened today at Long Wharf Mall with an apropos 3-mile fun run led by Anchor Leg Coaching to celebrate. Brands carried by the shop include:
