The change of season inspired two recent style segments on The Rhode Show this month. The first was during the show’s “Back to School Week” where I featured easy to assemble, polished ensembles for ladies on the go, moms juggling the school/daycare drop off line, women in the workplace and anyone who feels pajama pants have no business in public. As a corespondent on this show, I hope I can help eliminate the “jammies as casual wear” epidemic.
Here’s the segment:
Just when you were in the swing of the the summer routine, the new school year is upon us and a whole new morning hustle awaits. Teeth need to be brushed, outfits on, shoes found and lunches packed, which leaves very little time to worry about what’s freshly pressed and what fits just right. Here are some simple staples to make adjusting to the new normal a little easier.
J. McLaughlin Sage Dress (figure-flattering jersey dress in J. Mc’s signature Catalina Cloth)
Talbots Varsity Stripe Pima Cotton Bateau-Neck Tee
Talbots Woven-Shirttail Hem Polka-Dot Sweater
Rockport’s Lorraine II Lite Chelsea boot
Rockport’s Total Motion pump in black snake
Karma Collection stackable braclets by Sequin
And I’m wearing the new Lila Wrap Dress from J. McLaughlin in Newport.
