Rhode Island’s own Luca + Danni, a rapidly expanding jewelry line, is a nod to the state’s past as the leading jewelry manufacturer in the country. Other lines, like Alex and Ani and Loren Hope, along with Luca + Danni, are helping steer the Ocean State back in the right direction.
Fred Magnanimi, an investment banker by trade, left the Big Apple to return to Rhode Island and his family’s jewelry manufacturing business and launched Luca + Danni just over a year ago. The line is a tribute to his brother Danny, who lost his battle with Leukemia. Danny’s dream was to create a unique line of handcrafted, American-made jewelry that inspired others through the journey of life. Fueled by Danny’s passion and a burning desire to carry forth his vision, Luca + Danni was born.
Named after Fred’s two young children, Luca + Danni reminds us that through love, inspiration, and passion, we should all boldly embrace the journey of life.
Recently, the company launched a breast cancer awareness line in which 20% of the proceeds from the collection’s specified bracelets and necklaces are proudly donated to the Gloria Gemma Foundation.
Today, Luca + Danni is available in Newport at the Brick Market: Museum and Shop in addition to more than 700 retailers in the US and Canada.
