More fab new additions to Newport:
The Peyton Co./Good Vibes Only, 8 Fair St.
I knew about the Peyton’s Company’s first location in Warren, which was dedicated to skincare products that are clean, sustainable and when possible, made with local ingredients. And while lovely, it’s not exactly around the corner for this Newporter — but this NEW second location, called Good Vibes Only, is right here on Fair Street (a few doors down from The Red Parrot). Sharing the Peyton Co.’s commitment to sustainable skin care, here you can find cool products including Sun Kissed Post-Sun Soother (ideal for days where you soak up a little too much sun), plus a host of lotions, salves and elixirs in addition to Turkish towels and other fun finds. With banana leaf wall paper and awesome must-haves, there’s just something about this sensory stirring, aesthetically enviable space.
Young Designs Floral Studio, 64 Thames Street
What happens when two talented sisters with a vision for exquisite florals take over a storefront on upper Thames Street? You have a whimsical, Insta-worthy wonderland right in your backyard. Sarah and Hattie’s Young Designs has been an in-demand florist for weddings and events for many years, crating unbelievable breathtaking centerpieces, floral arches, bouquets and more for quite some time, but the new storefront is a beautiful addition to downtown Newport that turns heads, plus they work with local farmers and growers to create dreamy masterpieces.
The Mandala Way, 15 Touro Street
This shop is the vision of three creatives behind Jessica Ricci Jewelry, Morgan Bea Designs and Una Bella women’s clothing, all of who are dedicated to featuring curated, handmade, small batch work by emerging artists and traditional craftspeople who create their products simply because they can’t imagine a life otherwise. At The Mandala Way, you’ll find jewelry, candles, beauty products, crystals and stones, thoughtful décor clothing and cool accessories.
